Galina Stepanenko People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Bolshoi Ballet Dance Open: 2006

She completed her studies with distinction at the Moscow College of Choreography (today the Moscow State Academy of Choreography), where she trained in Sophia Golovkina’s graduates’ class. From 1984-88, she was a soloist with the Moscow Classical Ballet Company (today the State Academic Theatre of Classical Ballet led by Natalia Kasatkina and Vladimir Vasiliyov). From 1988-90, she danced for the Moscow Academic Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company. In 1990, she joined the Bolshoi Ballet Company. Winner of the lst prize at the All-Union Competition of Ballet Dancers and special prize of the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet. People’s Artist of the Russian Federation. In 2001, she was awarded the Order of Honor. In 2004, she won the Russian Ballet journal Soul of Dance prize (in the Queen of Dance nomination). In December 2012 she finished her artistic career and became a coach-repetiteuer of the Bolshoi Ballet company. And by autumn 2013 became its Ballet Manager.

Anastasia Stashkevich Soloist of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia Dance Open: 2012, 2013

In 2003 graduated from the Moscow State Ballet Academy and joined the Bolshoi Ballet. In 2002 won the 3 rd prize of the International Ballet Competition «Vaganova-Prix» (St. Petersburg), in 2004 — 2nd Prize of the Arabesque Open Competition for Russian Ballet Dancers, in Perm. In 2011 participated in a joint project of the Bolshoi Theater and Segerstrom Center for the Arts, California (Remansos, E. Granados music, N. Duato choreography; Pas de Trois, M. Glinka music, G. Balanchine choreography, Cinque A. Vivaldi music, M. Bigonzetti choreography).

James Stout

James Stout Soloist of the Dutch National Ballet Dance Open: 2014

Born in Calgary, Canada. Didn’t plan a ballet career, but was helping parents at their club of Argentine tango, by dancing there. At the age of 13 he went to the School of Alberta Ballet «because they needed boys», but later on got carried away and went to the Academy of Ballet in Vancouver, and later to the Royal Ballet School in London. After graduating in 2007, he was accepted to the Dutch National Ballet, where in 2012 he became a Soloist. Performs principal roles in ballets by John Neumeier, George Balanchine, Rudi van Dantzig, Christopher Wheeldon, Wayne Eagling, Peter Wright, Hans van Manen, David Dawson, Krzysztof Pastor, William Forsythe and other prominent choreographers of today.

Natalya Somova

Natalya Somova Moscow Academic Music Theatre named after K.S. Stanislavsky and V. Nemirovich-Danchenko Dance Open: 2006

Graduated from the Krasnodar Choreographic School in 1999 (class of Pak) and joined the Krasnodar State Musical Theatre. In 2002 joined the Moscow Academic Music Theatre named after K.S. Stanislavsky and V. Nemirovich-Danchenko. Prize winner of the 1st Ballet Competition in Seoul (S. Korea, 2004) and the Russian Ballet Contest “Young Ballet of Russia” in Krasnodar (2004).
